This qualification aims to provide learners with the underpinning knowledge that is required by employees to work in a range of different environments within a customer service role. It will help learners develop essential knowledge and how to apply this knowledge in a variety of industries and job roles. The qualification consists of 3 mandatory units and 4 optional units, which you can select with help from your tutor. The qualification will take around 200 hours to complete.

This qualification consists of three mandatory units:

1 Principles of customer service and delivery
2 Understanding customers
3 Understanding employer organisations

And ten optional units (you must complete four):

4 Understand how to communicate with others
5 Understand how to communicate with others using the telephone
6 Understand how to handle customer information
7 Understand how to deliver customer service online
8 Understand how to resolve problems and deliver customer service to challenging customers
9 Understand how to handle objections, promote additional products or services and close sales
10 Understand how to develop customer relationships
11 Understand how to process sales orders and provide post-transaction customer service
12 Principles of equality and diversity in the workplace
13 Understand how to develop working relationships with colleagues

The qualification is internally assessed and externally quality assured by NCFE. Each learner will create an online portfolio of knowledge by answering assessment questions using our virtual learning platform.
